The campus Vaihingen is located ideally with respect to public transport (S-Bahn). If you use public transport always get your ticket before travelling. Ticket machines are installed at every station. At the machine punch in the code for the station "Universität" (the numbers of all the stations are listed on the machine). By default you will get a one-way ticket for an adult.
From Flughafen Stuttgart (Stuttgart Airport):
Take S-Bahn (Subway) to Hauptbahnhof and get off at station "Universität". The travel time is about 15 minutes.
Continue walking in the direction of the train. The trains leave approximately every 20 minutes.
From main train station Stuttgart:
Take S-Bahn (Subway) S1, S2 or S3 to 'Filderstadt' or 'Flughafen, Airport' or 'Herrenberg' or 'Vaihingen' or 'Böblingen'. Get off at the 4th station which is "Universität". The travel time is about 10 minutes. Walk in the direction opposite to the direction of the train. The trains leave approximately every 10 minutes.
Once in Stuttgart you can reach the university, campus Vaihingen, by various buses. For time tables please see below.
Time schedules of public transport:
The VVS provides you with a time table planner [Available only in German].
Cars coming from highways A8 and A81 should take exit for A831/B14 at the junction 'Stuttgart', which leads to 'Stuttgart-Vaihingen' and 'Stuttgart-Zentrum'. At the exit 'Universität' leave the B14 and follow the signs. At the first possibility turn right into the street "Pfaffenwaldring". At the second possibility (approx. after 150 m) turn left and proceed to the parking space. Past 9 a.m., the parking lot is open for public. From the parking lot it is only a couple of meters to Pfaffenwaldring 7, where the ENWAT office is located on the 3rd floor.
